Plain Jane dining room to elegant yet casual space

The dining room was one of the first rooms we tackled in the house, to read our story and our decision to purchase this weird house, click here. For a change, this dining space was not so bad but it wasn't good either- it was a plain room with a dull beige color and chair rail. I wanted to turn it into an elegant space that didn't look very formal and could accommodate my bar style tall dining table. Here is a before picture of the dining space.

That chandelier came in a thousand pieces and took me 7 hours to assemble, by the end of which my back and eyes were pleading for me to stop! In the end, it was a very rewarding experience and the dinners will be a bit more elegant.
